Karla publishes Vida Nova’s research papers, runs product analysis and supports sales team activities. A career in veterinary biologics has given Karla a broad perspective in the animal health industry. She has held leadership positions in Research and Development and Quality Control for Fort Dodge Animal Health, Boehringer Ingelheim and Elanco. From hands on clinical studies to the laboratory, Karla has a comprehensive background in experimental design, data analysis and scientific writing. Due to excellent planning, communication and project management skills, Karla’s teams have a track record of success in supporting many product licensures and improvements.
Karla graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in biochemistry. Her career has been focused on Immunochemistry, which has allowed her to gain an understanding of biological molecules and their interactions. She regularly attends conferences at the Center for Veterinary Biologics to keep current on industry topics. Karla serves as a Hunger Ambassador for Elanco, supporting local food pantries and organizations such as Heifer International.
